Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information BWA collects when you use this website and its market intelligence features, how that information is used and shared, and the choices you have. It applies to all visitors and registered users of this site.

Last updated: September 18, 2026.

Information We Collect

  • Account information. When you create an account, we store your email address, the display name you choose, your sign-in identifier from our authentication provider, your email verification status, and timestamps such as account creation and most recent sign-in.
  • Feature and preference data. If you configure dashboards, watchlists, or other features, we store the settings needed to display them on your next visit.
  • Usage information. We keep records of how the application is used — such as pages requested and actions taken — to operate the service, keep it reliable, prevent abuse, and answer support requests.
  • Support communications. If you contact us, we keep a record of the communication so we can respond and follow up.
  • Technical information. Our systems process standard technical data such as IP addresses and browser details in server logs, for security and operational purposes.

How We Use Information

  • To create and authenticate your account and keep it secure.
  • To provide, display, and improve the market intelligence features you request, including dashboards, analytics, and newsletter content.
  • To remember your preferences and settings between visits.
  • To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
  • To respond to support requests and service communications.
  • To understand, in aggregate, which features are used, so we can improve product quality.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

How We Share Information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate this site, and only as needed to perform their function:

  • Authentication. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which processes your email address and sign-in credentials to verify your identity.
  • Newsletter delivery and payments. Newsletter subscriptions and any associated payments are processed by Substack. If you subscribe, your email address and payment details are handled under Substack's own privacy policy; we do not store your payment card details.
  • Infrastructure providers. Cloud hosting and content delivery providers process data such as IP addresses and request logs as part of serving the site.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service. The Terms of Service describe the rules that apply to your use of the site.

Cookies and Analytics

The site sets one first-party cookie, bwa_session, which identifies your signed-in session. It is used strictly to keep you logged in as you move between pages; it is not used for tracking or advertising. You can clear or block it at any time from your browser settings, though blocking it will prevent you from staying signed in.

We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not embed third-party analytics services that profile you across other websites. Where we measure product usage, we use aggregate, internal counts of how features are used rather than individual behavioral profiles.

Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your account record.
  • Preference and feature data is retained until you change it, delete it, or delete your account.
  • Server and security logs are retained for a limited operational period and are then deleted or de-identified.
  • Support communications are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request and for reasonable record-keeping.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and update. You can review and change your display name and feature preferences from your account settings at any time.
  • Delete. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at support@bwa.ai. We will process the request and confirm when it is complete.
  • Newsletter. Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link managed by Substack, which takes effect immediately.
  • Cookies. You can block or delete the session cookie in your browser without losing access to public pages of the site.
  • Questions or complaints. Write to support@bwa.ai and we will respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law, such as the right to request a copy of your data or to object to certain processing. We honor such requests; contact us at the address above to exercise them.

Security and Children

We protect account data with encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication handled by a dedicated identity provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please treat your password with care.

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email or through the site. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
